About

Finishing up the Rattlesnake 50k, 2010

From the time I first learned that people ran 100 Mile races I was enthralled and wanted to do just that, run a 100 Mile race. In training for such an event I started having some serious over use injuries continually flare up. I started searching for other ways to train for an ultra distance event.

This led me to CrossFit Endurance and it’s training methodology, which in turn led me to CrossFit. Quickly enamored with the intensity of the training style I focused more on becoming a better CF-er then a better ultra-runner. So after a couple of years of learning about functional fitness I’m ready to refocus my efforts on the goal of 100 Miles. But, I completely believe that a well rounded fitness is an all around healthier approach to life.

So, this site is about combining the knowledge I can glean about living a happy, healthy, productive, functionally-fit life while pursuing the very obsessive goal of running 100 Miles.

I don’t have the “perfect” program. The perfect program must combine an individuals adaptation levels, drive, desires, goals, loves, and dislikes; just to name a handful of things. This is about me, trying to create MY program, that will get me to MY goals, and passing on that knowledge and (hopefully) inspiration to others.
